JVI Partner Summit

On October 7th JVI convened an online “Partner Summit” to introduce staff members from six of our key partner organizations to the newly launched e-JRC, JVI’s online Justice Resource Center. The e-JRC contains a library of toolkits, online trainings, and other resource materials for lawyers, social workers, policymakers, and advocates of all kinds working to fight human trafficking and other extreme injustice.

Seventy participants met together to receive hands-on training on using JVI’s e-JRC and to connect with others working in similar program areas throughout India and Nepal. Organizational leaders attended a session called “Building Justice Networks”, designed spark a desire in each organization to reach out, collaborate, and work together to build up networks of justice-focused organizations in their own local areas, and beyond. It was a time of meaningful connection and we at JVI are hopeful that new partnerships and projects will come out of this session!

Later on in the summit, participants learned how to carry out JVI’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for human trafficking cases, integrating this knowledge into their own organization’s processes and ensuring best practices are followed by every partner. The SOPs are contained in JVI’s Anti-Human Trafficking Toolkits for India and Nepal, now accessible by all in the e-JRC.

After the session an attendee sent JVI this feedback: “I will be so grateful to the team forever, who are working on this great project. I am new in this field, I needed something like this, where I can find everything regarding child labour, bonded labour, sex trafficking and govt. entitlements. Now because of you all, I can find it so easily on your website. Thank you so much”.
