In the informal settlements of Nairobi, vulnerability is an everyday reality. Trafficking, gender-based violence, extrajudicial killings, and broken family systems leave thousands without access to justice or protection.
But something is changing.
Justice Ventures International has joined hands with local leaders and organizations in Kenya to build networks of protection for the vulnerable, deploying lawyers into communities where justice has long been out of reach, training advocates, and strengthening the systems that safeguard the most at-risk.
In the spirit of Harambee, translated as we all pull together, this pilot program brings JVI’s proven Justice Hub model to the African continent for the first time, partnering with local organizations already doing the hard work on the ground.
Hear from community leaders on the frontlines as they share what’s at stake, what’s already shifting, and what they believe is possible: a Kenya that is no longer a trafficking hub, but a destination where survivors find help. Where dignity replaces fear, and communities flourish where justice takes root.
Gifts given by 11:59 p.m. August 31 will double in impact up to a total of $200,000. Any amount above that total will be used to meet JVI’s most urgent needs.
