We can all play a role in the pursuit of justice.
Fighting Slavery & Other Extreme Injustice
There are an estimated 49.6 million individuals* living in slavery globally. Human trafficking is a modern form of slavery. It’s a multi-billion-dollar industry that involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.
Traffickers look for people who are susceptible for a variety of reasons, including extreme poverty, psychological or emotional vulnerability, lack of a social safety net, natural disasters, or political instability.
