Nepal is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children subjected to bonded labor and sex trafficking. Up to 20,000 Nepalese girls are trafficked to India each year and trafficking routes in South Asia primarily begin in rural Nepal, Bangladesh and India and end in Indian urban centers such as Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and more.

JVI’s unique partnership model engages local faith-based organizations, secular NGOs, and government officials in the eradication of human trafficking and strengthening the response and rule of law.
